Pocket Maplestory - Tips & Tricks

1. Easy Mesos (2 methods)

A. The best and the fastest way is to do the 1st map of lvl 118 dungeon (Ruins of the Corrupted Temple). Each monster gives you about 2-4k mesos per kill! You can just clear the first map and exit within seconds to get about 30k mesos. Repeating this process can yield millions of mesos quickly! This however, requires a high level character that is able to clear the lvl 118 dungeon quickly for the best result.

B. Another method (For low lvl characters) is to buy as many lvl 1 weapon (cost 480 mesos each) from the Equipment Merchant in the beginner town. Fuse 2 of these weapon to get a random equipment of higher levels. Sell these equipment and you can yield about 10k+ mesos in a short time!

Alternatively, create an Angelic Buster and equip her with a HP Recovery Ring. Have her farm Dim Spirit Stones from monsters and craft as many lvl 1 magic (blue) equipment. Fuse 2 of these equipment and sell high level equipment to the Equipment Merchant for profit! This method can even net you a good lvl 130+ magic (blue) equipment for your characters!

2. Play without Potions

Play without the need for potions by enhancing your level 24 rings, earrings and necklace to at least +4. This will provide you with free HP, HP and MP regeneration which works very well from level 1-120. Each Enhancement Scroll I only cost 5k mesos which is worth the investment and they can be used by all your low level characters! A detailed video guide can be seen here:

It is also worth it to cube each accessories. I have personally cube each +4 accessories 6 times and have used it for my 7 characters! You can use them till you got your hands on the level 120 Legendary yellow accessories!

3. Free Teleport

Register and keep at least 1 repeatable quest for each map. You can travel to these areas without the need for specific Town Scrolls, thus saving mesos and inventory space. Just click "Move Now" from your quest list to the desired area and use your Return Scroll!

4. Phone Flip Trick (Auto-attacking)

If you are unable to Auto Combat due to low defense, fret not! You can still auto-attack at a spot where no monsters can touch you! This trick works especially well for range characters such as Angelic Buster.

To do this trick, stand on a safe spot and hold down the attack button. Then flip your phone to make the screen rotate 180 degrees. Release the attack button and you will still see your character spamming her normal attack in the safe spot. It is recommended to get a Baby Dragon pet to help you to pick up your loots!

6. Gear Rarity

*Note: You can only get level 1-120 unique or legend equipment from advanced dungeons or by fusing. The only place to get above level 120 equipment is through Super Premium Capsule.

7. Transferring Bound Equipment (Cheat by fusing)

Depending on the gear rarity, some equipment will be bound to your character. Scissors of Karma (cost 1500 candies) is required if you want to transfer these equipment to other characters.

White and blue equipment will not be bound to your characters. Purple equipment can be transferred through the shared stash unless they are equipped once by your characters. Red and Gold equipment binds as soon as you receive them.

A trick to transfer bound purple/red/gold equipment is to fuse these equipment with another equipment while having a full inventory. This will cause the newly fused purple/red/gold equipment to be sent to your mailbox. Hence, you will be able to use another character to get the equipment from the mail. This method allows you to farm Legendary equipment using your strongest character and transfer them to other characters via mail.

8. Skill Simulator

You can plan for your characters in this Skill Simulator. Although it is in Japanese, the skill icons are the same and you can use google translate to identify the skills. However, only 4 classes are currently available in this skill simulator.

9. Dojo Clear Speed

Some classes are overpowered in Dojo (i.e. Angelic Buster) while others take a longer time to clear the same Dojo (i.e. Mechanic). This is my comparison on Dojo clear speed of different characters with similar funding and equipment (You can find many Dojo comparison videos in YouTube!):

*Note that there are some character balancing in the Korean and Global version of Pocket Maplestory recently. The Dojo clear speed might differ in their servers now.

10. Extra stats!

The fashion items from the Candy Shop have been updated to give extra stats! It is recommended to get the fashion weapon and clothes (Top, Pants or Whole Body parts) which boost your attack and defence to help during auto-combat! Joining a guild also give extra stats, attack boost, movement boost and mesos acquisition boost! Be sure to join one to tap on its benefits!
